Mal Brough a former minister of the Howard Government has always been passionate about Indigenous jobseekers being given a fair go!
Project 200 was initiated by Mal Brough in partnership with Sarina Russo Job Access. The aim of project 200 was to assist 200 Indigenous people into employment by August 31st 2008.
To achieve our target SRJA advertised through local radio stations encouraging employers to register and support this great initiative.
The outcome of Project 200 was greatly supported by employers, the Indigenous community and Indigenous jobseekers.
187 Indigenous jobseekers were successfully placed into work in the following industries:
- Hospitality, Retail – Sales Assistants
- Administration
- Construction
- Customer service
Sarina Russo Job Access can also arrange for pre-employment and on the job training as well as assistance with essentials such as work clothes at no cost to you.
