Employers, apprentices, trainees and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) all have rights and obligations to one another under the law.  
 
Our guide will provide an overview of what this means for you, and where to find more information about your legal rights and obligations.

The AASN Code of Conduct outlines Sarina Russo Apprentices obligations to employers, apprentices/trainees and other relevant parties. The code exists to ensure we act in an ethical way while providing you with high quality services that are designed to meet your individual needs and circumstances.  

In delivering our services to you, we promise to: 

• Provide advice that is current, correct , complete and relevant to your needs 
• Be respectful, courteous, impartial and timely in delivering our services 
• Be easily contactable and ready to respond quickly to requests for information or complaints 
• Act with integrity, honesty and transparency in all matters 
• Stay up-to-date with relevant information and government requirements at both a State and Federal level 
• Actively seek to deliver training and employment opportunities to you 
• Uphold our obligations under all relevant legislation 

When you sign up an apprentice or trainee, you will need to ensure you provide them with: 

• A clear understanding of their rights and obligations in your workplace 
• The right equipment and support for them to do their job 
• Clear and effective mentoring, advice, supervision and guidance 
• Relevant and timely on-the-job training 
• Relevant entitlements and wages in accordance with any applicable awards 
• A safe workplace that complies with Work Health & Safety requirements 

When you choose Sarina Russo Apprentices as your Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) provider, we support you by: 

• Helping resolve any problems you or your apprentice/trainee may be experiencing in the workplace 
• Providing you and your apprentice/trainee with the information you need to understand your rights and obligations, including the Code of Good Practice 
• Protecting your privacy and personal information 
• Acting in accordance with the AASN Code of Conduct 
• Acting swiftly to address any complaints or issues

• Provide a working environment that is safe and free from abuse or workplace hazards

• Ensure adequate supervision and support is provided at the worksite 
• Advise your apprentice/trainee of their rights and responsibilities 

Apprentices & Trainees

• Understand your work responsibilities and carry out the tasks required to fulfil them 
• Understand your training responsibilities and carry out the tasks required to fulfil them

Know the law – the National Employment Standards, awards, registered agreements, award free employees, wages, entitlements, contracts, documentation, WH&S
