NAIDOC Week marks a significant milestone—50 years of recognising and celebrating the strength, culture, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” honours the achievements of the past while embracing the promise of the future—led by the strength of young leaders, the vision of empowered communities, and the enduring legacy of Elders and ancestors.
NAIDOC Week began as a movement for justice and recognition, driven by Indigenous voices determined to shape a future grounded in equality. Over five decades, it has grown into a national celebration of culture, identity, and resilience. As we reflect on this legacy, we also look ahead—toward a future shaped by the next generation, who carry forward the torch with courage, clarity, and deep cultural pride.
This year, the National NAIDOC Committee takes a bold step toward independence, embracing self-determination as a guiding principle for the future. Every story shared, every tradition honoured, and every act of resilience remembered strengthens the foundation for the next 50 years. NAIDOC remains a movement rooted in community, integrity, and vision—one that continues to evolve and inspire.
At the Sarina Russo Group, NAIDOC Week is a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate. We proudly honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through active participation in local events, fostering cultural understanding across our teams and communities. Embracing this year’s theme, we reaffirm our commitment to inclusivity, empowerment, and reconciliation—supporting Indigenous voices and contributing to a future enriched by the world’s oldest living culture.
Together, we walk forward—grounded in the wisdom of our Elders, inspired by the vision of our communities, and committed to building a legacy of unity, respect, and opportunity for all Australians. This NAIDOC Week, we don’t just celebrate a milestone—we celebrate a movement that continues to grow, led by the next generation.
