Sarina Russo Apprenticeships (SRA) proudly sponsored The Hairdressing Apprentice Excellence Award at The Gordon Awards for Excellence, a prestigious event that recognises students who have achieved top standards and demonstrated exceptional dedication to training, community engagement, and leadership. Held on Wednesday, 27 March at Geelong's GMHBA Stadium, the ceremony brought together close to 200 attendees to celebrate the best of The Gordon’s students across various disciplines.

There were 20 different categories, including two major awards, Apprentice of the Year, Student of the Year, and a rare CEO Award category, offering up to $2,000 each in prize money and showcasing the exceptional skills and dedication shown by Gordon students.

In addition to celebrating individual achievements, the event also provided a platform for sponsors like SRA to demonstrate their commitment to supporting the growth and development of aspiring professionals. The sponsorship of The Hairdressing Apprentice Excellence Award underscores our dedication to fostering talent within the hairdressing industry and beyond.

Amidst the excitement and anticipation of the awards ceremony, SRA was proud to witness four of its registered apprentices receive accolades for their outstanding contributions.

Hairdressing Apprentice (Highly Commended)

  • Meaghan Vecoli (Employer - Ivy Creations, Queenscliff)

School Based Apprentice and Trainee 

  • Tabitha Conway (Highly Commended) (Employer - Masons Hair Studio, Geelong West)
  • Monique Tilley (Commended) (Employer - Republika Salon, Torquay)
