Vicky was paired with Parent Pathways Mentor Rebecca Ramsden, whose guidance helped her rebuild confidence and re-enter the workforce. Together, they worked on refining job applications, resume writing, and interview techniques—while also focusing on emotional support and career clarity.
As part of her upskilling journey, Bec encouraged Vicky to complete a First Aid and CPR course. In a remarkable turn of events, Vicky used those very skills to save her child from drowning just days later—an unforgettable moment that highlighted the real-world impact of the program.
Vicky also attended a specialised two-day workshop in Sydney and completed a short course in a related discipline, demonstrating her commitment to professional development even while unemployed.
Her efforts paid off when received two job offers and, with Bec’s support, made a confident decision to begin a new chapter in June. After a few weeks of settling in, Vicky now describes her role as one of the best jobs in the nation—surrounded by a supportive team and thriving in her career.
