What is NDIS employment support?

HOW WE HELP

Sarina Russo Job Access (SRJA) is a registered NDIS employment services provider. We offer a range of tailored support services to help people living with a disability access meaningful employment. This includes access to:

  • Allied health professionals with a focus on positive employment outcomes
  • Employment services staff to address job fit considerations and liaise with employers
  • Training and skills development to help you find and keep that job!
  • Relevant funding for any workplace modifications or specialist equipment you may need
  • School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) for students with a disability.Advice and mentoring from industry professionals
  • Hands-on experience and placement opportunities

All our staff undergo NDIS screening to ensure they meet the requirements for your safety and quality of care. We also provide additional training to help them understand the challenges faced by those living with a disability in order to provide the right level of support.

FINDING AND KEEPING A JOB

Sarina Russo Job Access helps NDIS recipients with a range of services to find, or keep, meaningful employment. This might include employment related counselling, or workplace assessments, to help you successfully engage in employment.

Our programs include School leaver Employment Support, which is designed to help students with a disability transition from school into employment. Our NDIS employment support gives you the training and tools to manage:

  • Finding and applying for a job – resumes, cover letters and interview techniques
  • Workplace interactions – being part of a team, communication styles, dealing with different personalities
  • Workplace expectations – employer expectations, work health and safety, feedback and discipline

We understand there’s more to finding a job than matching your skill set to a job vacancy. We look at the bigger, long-term picture to make sure you have access to all the support you need to maximise your chance of success.

EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY SUPPORT

Sarina Russo Job Access offers Exercise Physiology support to maintain or increase physical mobility or wellbeing. Our qualified Exercise Physiologists aim to promote and encourage improved physical capacity and health to encourage greater participation in the community.

Physiological support can help you to reduce pain and risk from co-morbidities such as heart disease and diabetes, while actively improving your:

  • Muscular and bone strength
  • Postural control
  • Ability to complete daily tasks
  • Quality of life
  • Balance to reduce the risk of falls
  • Mental health
