International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

As we approach the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 25 November, it is crucial to recognise the pervasive nature of violence against women and girls worldwide. The United Nations' UNiTE campaign emphasises the urgency to "Invest to Prevent Violence Against Women & Girls" with the resounding call of #NoExcuse. At Sarina Russo Group, we align ourselves with this vital initiative, understanding the need for robust responses, prevention, and investment in empowering women for a violence-free future.

Violence against women and girls remains one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the world. Globally, an estimated 736 million women — almost one in three — have been subjected to physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence, non-partner sexual violence, or both, at least once in their life. This scourge has intensified in different settings, including the workplace and online spaces, and has been exacerbated by post-pandemic effects, conflicts, and climate change. [UN.org]

Sarina Russo Group is committed to being part of the solution by actively supporting the UNiTE campaign's call to action. We recognise that investing in prevention is not only a moral imperative but a strategic approach to breaking the cycle of violence. By providing employment opportunities, apprenticeships, and career development programs, we contribute to building a foundation where women can thrive and lead violence-free lives.

Together, we can build a future where every woman lives free from fear and violence.
