VRQA's Speak Up Build Up Campaign

If you're a Victorian woman or non-binary apprentice in the building and construction industry and you feel you're not receiving the fair treatment you deserve, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) has your back through the BuildUP campaign.

The BuildUP campaign, accessible through this link, is designed to ensure that all women and non-binary apprentices in the building and construction sector are treated with the utmost respect and provided with top-notch training.

As a woman or non-binary apprentice, your employer should be offering you:

  • A Safe Workplace: A workplace where your safety is a priority.
  • Appropriate Supervision: Guidance and supervision that supports your growth and development in the industry.
  • Access to Tools and Equipment: Access to the necessary tools and equipment essential for learning and mastering the skills required for your qualification.

If you find that you're not receiving these essential elements in your apprenticeship, the BuildUP campaign is here to assist you.
