Helping support parents with their personal development and goals

PARENT PATHWAYS SERVICE

Parent Pathways is a voluntary service that provides personalised and financial support to eligible parents and carers of children up to the age of 6 years.

Parent Pathways is about parents and carers and their individual needs. With the help of a qualified mentor, you can receive flexible support to assist with any personal, study or work goals.

Through Parent Pathways, you have access to an Individual Fund, designed to make your goals more achievable.

The Individual Fund is up to $1,250 per year of service and could support you with purchases such as:

  • Accredited education
  • Non-accredited personal deployment course
  • Driver’s licences costs
  • Fuel vouchers
  • Bus tickets
  • Phone cards
  • Grocery vouchers
  • And so much more! You can discuss these with your mentor at your first appointment.

When you attend your face-to-face appointments, you could be eligible for the Engagement Support Vouchers. On the first appointment, there is a $100 voucher available, redeemable for groceries, petrol or training. For follow-up appointments, when you attend face-to-face again, additional Engagement Support Vouchers of $50 will be available. These vouchers are up to a total of $250, per year of service and a great way to connect with your mentor in person.

How does Parent Pathways work?

THE PROCESS

Parent Pathways is entirely voluntary and focused on your individual needs and circumstances. If you choose to take part, you will work together with a mentor to develop a plan that suits you and your family.

You might attend appointments in person, over the phone or online. If you do attend in person, your children are always welcome. The service is family friendly, so if you need to reschedule or cancel appointments, that’s okay.

Parenting is busy work, and you don’t need to do anything that doesn’t fit in with your family life. If an activity doesn’t work for you or your situation changes, your mentor can help you find the right services or activities. If you need more support, your mentor can help you access services in the local community.

Once you and your mentor develop a Goal Plan, you’ll receive ongoing support to achieve your goals.

You can contact Sarina Russo Job Access as a Parent Pathways provider in your local area if you’re interested in finding out more about the service.

Your goals are our goals. We’re excited to help you reach them!
